An al Qaeda leader who was associated with Osama bin Laden and “deeply involved” con il 9/11 attacks is now dead after the U.S. carried out a missile strike in Afghanistan, Presidente Joe Biden annunciato lunedì.

al-Zawahiri’s relatives were not injured in the attack and there were “no civilian casualties,” Biden ha detto.

Biden was told about al-Zawahiri’s location in April, before being given a potential attack plan early last month, an administration official told reporters, per ABC News.
